Did Jesus Teach Black Hebrew Israelite Doctrines?

And it happened in the fulfilling of the days of His taking up, even He set His face to go to Jerusalem. And He sent messengers before His face. And going they went into a village of Samaritans, so as to make ready for Him. And they did not receive Him, because His face was going toward Jerusalem. And seeing, His disciples, James and John, said Lord, do You desire that we tell fire to come down from Heaven, and to consume them even as Elijah did? 2 K. 1:10-12But turning He rebuked them. And He said, You do not know of what spirit you are. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's souls, but to save. And they went to another village. (Luke 9:51-56 KJ3)

One West Camps believe Jesus only came to save Israelites, not non Israelites, not all men, only the Israelites. One West Camps stand on corners and calls down judgment To all 
non Israelites just like james and john would have done to the Samaritans for not receiving Jesus. According to Luke 9, One West Camps do not teach what Christ Taught.


The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. "But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people's faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in. [Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows' houses and for a pretense you make long prayers; therefore you will receive the greater condemnation.] Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves.

by hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they might be saved—so as always to fill up the measure of their sins. But wrath has come upon them at last!
(1 Thessalonians 2:16)

One West Camps do not teach what Jesus and Paul clearly taught. Paul complains that the Jews are hindering gentiles from being saved. Jesus complains that even when the Jews, pharisees in this case, convert a gentile to a proselyte Jew, they dont convert him to eternal life but rather a son of Hell. 


Again, clearly One West Camps do not teach what Christ Taught.
Matthew 20:23-28
Luke 22:25-26
23 He said to them, “You will drink my cup, but to sit at my right hand and at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.” 24 And when the ten heard it, they were indignant at the two brothers. 25 But Jesus called them to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. 26 It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,[c] 27 and whoever would be first among you must be your slave,[d] 28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”                                    (Matthew 20:23-28)

And he said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those in authority over them are called benefactors. But not so with you. Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. For who is the greater, one who reclines at table or one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But I am among you as the one who serves.              (Luke 22:25-26)


One West Camps Believe gentiles will serve the Israelites in the coming kingdom. Yet jesus taught that such things will not be so with those who follow him. One West Camps had the same expectations as did the disciples in Matthew 20. Jesus taught those who seek to be first or greatest must be a slave to the lesser and serve them. Then Jesus said he didn’t come to be served, but to serve. This does not sound like gentiles being slaves to Jews int the kingdom at all. Jesus flips the idea by his own teachings.

Should Women Not wear pants?

Deuteronomy 22:5

5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.


If you're a woman caught up in the Hebrew Israelite/Hebrew roots movement then you've likely been told that wearing pants is a sin, against the bible, and that God is not pleased with you wearing pants, and for some even worse. But the information age has only confirmed much of the history and cultural context of biblical times. And that is what sheds light on seeing for ourselves the meaning of biblical truths.

First off, 

Question: what is "that which pertaineth to a man?
Answer: Whatever pertained to men. And in our case, the men of Israel.

Question: What clothes pertained to the men of israel in the times of deuteronomy?
Answer: Garments... And guess what? men did not wear pants to show an outer distinction from women at all. in fact, BOTH WORE GARMENTS.

So lets look again at the text. this time at the word "man". The Following is from bishop Jerry Hayes. "The word translated “man” is the Hebrew word “gerber.”According to Strong’s Concordance #H1397, “a valiant man or warrior;… .” From Brown-Driver-Briggs' Hebrew and English Lexicon, "man as strong, distinguished from women, children, and non-combatants whom he is to defend, ... ."  Therefore, the women of Israel were not to practice the custom of wearing the battle garments of a man of war, as was the custom of the women of Canaan in their worship of Ashtoreth. This prohibition would have been even more important on the holy days of the idol deity... This prohibition was given to the Israelites because the Canaanites so dressed to worship the goddess of war.

Historic Commentaries all point to this reality of the ancient near east.

"It must be remembered that both male and female wore robes in the ancient Near East. The only difference being that women’s robes in Israel had blue decoration around the shoulders." - Dr. Bob Utley commentary: You can understand the bible

"In one of the rites of Canaanite, Phœnician, and Syrian heathenism the sexes changed dresses (see references in Driver)." - Peak's  Commentary

"Some think it refers to the idolatrous custom of the Gentiles: in the worship of Venus, women appeared in armour, and men in women's clothes; this, as other such superstitious usages, is here said to be an abomination to the Lord."

"and in like manner Josephus (k) explains it,"take heed, especially in war, that a woman do not make use of the habit of a man, or a man that of a woman;''nor is he to be found fault with so much as he is by a learned writer"

"Men appeared in women’s clothing and vice versa (Deu_22:5) in some of the worship rituals of Astarte. [Note: Ibid., p. 234.] Furthermore transvestism did and still does have associations with certain forms of homosexuality. [Note: Craigie, The Book . . ., p. 288.] Perhaps for these reasons God gave the command to wear clothing appropriate to one’s own sex as well as because God intended to keep the sexes distinct (Deu_22:5). Homosexuality was punishable by death in Israel (Lev_20:13)."

This final Commentery sums it up the most clear of all. 

 "כלי גבר  keli geber, the instruments or arms of a man. As the word גבר  geber is here used, which properly signifies a strong man or man of war, it is very probable that armor is here intended; especially as we know that in the worship of Venus, to which that of Astarte or Ashtaroth among the Canaanites bore a striking resemblance, the women were accustomed to appear in armor before her. It certainly cannot mean a simple change in dress, whereby the men might pass for women, and vice versa. This would have been impossible in those countries where the dress of the sexes had but little to distinguish it, and where every man wore a long beard. It is, however, a very good general precept understood literally, and applies particularly to those countries where the dress alone distinguishes between the male and the female. The close-shaved gentleman may at any time appear like a woman in the female dress, and the woman appear as a man in the male’s attire. Were this to be tolerated in society, it would produce the greatest confusion."

One last observation. God speaks of this as an "Abomination"!!!.... This word most of the time was used in relation to Israel's old tough habit that took centuries to kick... IDOLATRY!... So if cross dressing was done by Canaanites to worship their deity who at times was androgynous(here), then it makes perfect sense as to why God would say that such a thing was abominable as a key word used as a theme of frustration over just one of the many sins that come from idolatry. 

The basic thrust of this text is not patriarchal, but the rejection of Canaanite worship practices (i.e., “abomination,” cf. Lev_18:26-27; Lev_18:29-30).

So, Can women wear pants?... Yes... God's focus was not on pants or dresses in Deuteronomy. This was also a time when Israelites were still in the wilderness, warning them to not take on the ways of the Canaanites. whatever "pertaineth" to a man, THAT alone is what a woman is not to wear.

In the new testament under The New Covenant brought about by Jesus, this law of clothing in Deuteronomy 22:5 is not a law of the new covenant at all. but idolatry and idol practices and worship is still a sin under the new covenant(Galatians 5, Romans 1). But wearing pants(especially women's pants) is not a sin. Neither in this covenant, nor the former.

A Walk Through The Scriptures  of Women Who Taught, Lead, and Labored in The Gospel


This is a brief introduction lesson that will explore, explain, and expound on the life, ministry, Status, and positions of women in the New Testament.  

Disclaimer: 
I do not teach that women are 
bishops or priests. 

First off, there a lot of women named among the writings of The Apostle Paul:

Apphia (Philemon. 1:2), 
Chloe (1 Cor. 1:11), 
Claudia (2 Tim. 4:21), 
Euodia (Php. 4:2), 
Julia (Rom. 16:15), 
Junia (Rom. 16:7), 
Lois and Eunice (2 Tim. 1:5), 
Mary (Rom. 16:6), 
Nereus’ sister (Rom. 16:15), 
Nympha (Col. 4:15), 
Persis (Rom. 16:12), 
Phoebe (Rom. 16:1-2), 
Priscilla (Rom. 6:3-5); 1 Cor. 16:19; 2 Tim. 4:19), 
Rufus’ mother (Rom. 16:13), 
Syntyche (Phil. 4:2), 
Tryphena and Tryphosa (Rom. 16:12).  

All were active in some form of ministry, 
and some were even leaders! But before we get there, let's start from the beginning 
of the Church.





They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

Acts 1:14


Believers were added to the Lord in increasing numbers crowds of both men and women.
Acts 5:14

But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Acts 8:12

As The Church was being established, there is a mention of ministries within her.

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

A look at a married couple Priscilla and Aquila

Priscilla/Prisca and Aquila are mentioned six times in the New Testament. At some point they even risked their lives for Paul’s sake (Rom 16:3-5) They are always mentioned together, and, four of those six times, Priscilla’s name is mentioned FIRST. This uncommon order of the wife’s name before her husband’s may be an indication that Priscilla’s ministry ability, or status, was more prominent than her husband Aquila’s. There he [Paul] met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all the Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them, and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them
(Acts 18:2-3, NIV). 

Paul stayed on in Corinth for some time. Then he left the brothers and sisters and sailed for Syria, accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila… They arrived at Ephesus, where he [Paul] left them [Priscilla and Aquila]. . . .
(Acts 18:18-19). 

Some translations such as the NIV repeat the names in Acts 18:19 for clarity, but the names are not repeated in the Greek texts.  He [Apollos] began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the Way of God more accurately (Acts 18:26). 

Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus. They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them. Greet also the church that meets at their house ( Romans 16:3-5 ). 

The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house ( 1 Corinthians 16:19). 

Greet Priscilla and Aquila . . . (2 Timothy 4:19)

These two were CHURCH LEADERS. 

Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my well beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ. 
(Rom 16:3-5)

Priscilla, Aquila, and Paul traveled together to Ephesus (Acts 18:18). Paul had confidence in the abilities of both Priscilla and Aquila as church leaders, and he left them in Ephesus to lead a church that met in their house. (1 Cor 16:19). It was while Priscilla and Aquila were leading a church at Ephesus that they met Apollos. Apollos is literally described by Luke as a “man of words”. After all, he was from ALEXANDRIA, its significance is a whole other
topic alone.

Now a Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures.  This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things concerning Jesus, being acquainted ONLY with the baptism of John; and he began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

WAIT!!!... Did Priscilla, being named first, TEACH such a learned man? Yes she did!

Despite Apollos’ notable credentials, something was lacking in his theology. He was ignorant of Christian baptism. Priscilla and Aquila recognized this lack, and as leaders of the local church, they took Apollos aside and explained to him “the Way of God”, that is, theology, more accurately. “explain” ( ektithēmi ) is the word used. Nevertheless, Priscilla and Aquila did in fact TEACH. Teach in the greek is — didaskō. And Didaskō is the Greek word usually translated as “teach” or “instruct”. BDAG (p.241) defines didaskō as
“(1) to tell someone what to do, tell, instruct; . . .
and (2) to provide instruction in a formal or informal setting , teach.” Apollos is himself described as someone who was speaking and teaching (didaskō) accurately about Jesus (Acts 18:25).

Therefore, the verb “explain” is plural in the Greek indicating that both Priscilla and Aquila were involved. However, the fact that Priscilla’s name is listed first, before her husband’s in Acts 18:26, shows that either

[A]Priscilla had a special status, or, 

[B]was the more active one in giving the explanation. 

This unconventional order of the wife’s name before her husband’s could be that Priscilla’s ministry ability and/or status was more prominent than Aquila’s. In the very next chapter(19), Luke writes about Paul’s three month speaking-ministry in the synagogue at Ephesus. He uses related words to "teach",
of three different verbs in reference to Paul’s speaking about the Kingdom of God: 

(1)  parrēsiazomai -speak boldly or freely, 
(2) dialegomai- discuss or reason and 
(3) peithō -persuade 


In Acts 19:8-9 Luke does not specifically use the word teach- didaskō here, and yet there can be no doubt that during those three months at Ephesus Paul did in fact teach. He taught by freely using reasoning and persuasion.

It is unreasonable to suggest that Paul’s ministry in Acts 19:8-9 did not include teaching simply because Luke did not use the word didaskō. It is equally unreasonable to suggest that Priscilla and Aquila’s explanation to Apollos did not include teaching just because Luke did not use the word  didaskō . Priscilla and Aquila did in fact teach Christian doctrine to Apollos. This becomes clear when you look at the meaning of “explain” ( ektithēmi ) and the circumstances where Luke uses it elsewhere in Acts.




Explain — ektithēmi




Luke is the only New Testament author to use the Greek word ektithēmi . He uses it four times, and only in the book of Acts. There are two basic meanings for the word ektithēmi . In its most literal sense it means to “place outside” or “expose”. In this sense, BDAG (p.310) gives the definition of ektithēmi as “withdraw support or protection from”. Luke uses the word in this sense in Acts 7:21 where he recounts Stephen speaking about the baby Moses who was placed outside and left exposed on the Nile.
Ektithēmi also means “to put forth, declare, explain”. (Perschbacher 1990:131) In this sense, BDAG (p.310) gives the definition of ektithēmi as “to convey information 
by careful elaboration”. 

This sounds a lot like teaching to me. Luke uses the word IN THIS SENSE three times in Acts: of Peter in Acts 11:4 , of Priscilla and Aquila in Acts 18:26 , and of Paul in Acts 28:23 It is important to note that there is nothing at all trivial in these three instances where “explain” ( ektithēmi) is used.

“It is well known that the early church attracted an unusual number of high status women . . .”[a] Some of these women, who lived in relatively spacious homes, hosted a congregation that met in their home.[b] As a prominent member of the congregation, the host would have functioned as a leader employing a ministry gift, possibly the pastor-teacher gift. Priscilla and Aquila were active in ministry and hosted a church in their home at Ephesus (1Cor. 16:19) and later at Rome(Rom 16:3-5) where they ministered as pastor-teachers[Leaders].

Euodia and Syntyche
Evangelists. Leaders.

When Paul describes the ministry of Euodia and Syntyche, Paul uses a couple of the same terms he had applied previously to Timothy and Epaphroditus. Paul writes that Euodia and Syntyche had contended together with him “in the Gospel”. Earlier in the letter, Paul had described Timothy as someone who had served with him “in the Gospel” (Phil. 2:22). Furthermore, Paul goes on to refer to Euodia and Syntyche as his “co-workers“. Earlier, Paul had referred to Epaphroditus as his “co-worker” (Phil. 2:25)

The Apostle Paul names Euodia and Syntyche in his letter to the Philippians and, in just two verses, he gives us a glimpse into the value and significance 
of their ministries. 

I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to think the same thing in the Lord. Indeed, I ask you, my true companion [or, yokefellow], to help them—these women who have contended together with me in [the cause of] the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life. 
(Philippians 4:2-3)


Women in Macedonia

It was not unusual for women to have leading roles in Philippi. Philippi was the chief city of Macedonia (Acts 16:12) and it has been well documented that Macedonian women enjoyed greater freedoms, rights and powers than many other women of that time. 

“If Macedonia produced perhaps the most competent group of men the world had yet seen, the women were in all respects the men’s counterparts; they played a large part in affairs, received envoys and obtained concessions for them from their husbands, built temples, founded cities, engaged mercenaries, commanded armies, held fortresses, and acted on occasion as regents or even co rulers.”

“We can see this [freedom of women] even in the narrative in Acts of Paul’s work in Macedonia. In Philippi, Paul’s first contact was with the meeting for prayer by a riverside, and he spoke to the women gathered there (Acts 16:13). Lydia was obviously a leading figure in Philippi (Acts 16:14).[6] In Thessalonica, many of the chief women were won for Christianity, and the same thing happened at Berea (Acts 17:4 & 12). . . . it is well worth remembering, when we are thinking of the place of women in the early church and of Paul’s attitude to them, that in the Macedonian churches they clearly had a leading place.”

Early church bishop and theologian, John Chrysostom (c. 349-407), believed that Euodia and Syntyche were leading women in the Philippian church, and he compared them to Phoebe, a woman minister (diakonos) in the church at Cenchrea (Rom. 16:1-2).  In his 13th Homily on Philippians 
he wrote: 

“These women [Euodia and Syntyche] seem to me to be the chief of the Church which was there, and [Paul] commends them to some notable man whom he calls his yokefellow; [Paul] commends them to him, as to a fellow-worker, and fellow-soldier, and brother, and companion, as he does in the Epistle to the Romans, when he says, I commend to you Phoebe our sister, who is a minister of the church at Cenchrea” (Romans 16:1).

Chrysostom did not see any sign of a quarrel 
in Paul’s plea to Euodia and Syntyche; 
he saw only praise from Paul and wrote: 

“Do you see how great a testimony he [Paul] bears to their virtue?”

In the New Testament text there are many examples of women who were involved in significant gospel ministry, some as leaders. Even though these women—women such as Euodia and Syntyche—are mentioned briefly, they do serve as valid, biblical precedents for women in ministry today. 
If Paul valued the leadership and ministries of certain women, and regarded women as his co-workers, we should be careful not to hinder Godly, gifted and capable women from following their calling to be ministers and servant leaders in the Church today.

Were The Promises of Land to Israel Fulfilled in The Old Covenant?

In reflecting on the conversations I've had with professing Hebrews on the subject of what one gets in Salvation I have reluctantly heard the common belief echoed from the many spheres of social media that the Israelites in the end times will receive the final promise of returning to the land of Israel as promised to the Israelites from Abraham and to also rule with Christ from the land of Jerusalem.

In other words there are promises given only to Jews that will only be received in Christ in the end times. But such a speculation only proves where one's heart is pertaining to what one desires to receive in Christ. And also it reveals that they have not encountered the basic and all-too-common passages that speak of Israel receiving all the lands that God had promised them. But why stop there?... Im gonna push the envelope and look at all the promises in the bag. So let us examine below how God Has fulfilled his promises unto Israel through Abraham and his descendants.

So in the old Testament there were 3 rock star promises given to Israel beginning with the Hebrew patriarch Abraham.





Did God fulfill the land promises he gave to israel?

Answer: Yes.

In the old Testament there were many promises given to Israel beginning with the Hebrew patriarch Abraham. We will only focus on 3 major ones.

Promise #1. I will make you a great nation!

Gen 12:2 LEB And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will make your name great. And you will be a blessing.

Gen 46:3 LEB Then he said, “I am the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you a great nation there.

Exo 19:6 LEB but you, you will belong to me as a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you will speak to the Israelites.”



FULFILLED

Deu 4:6-8 LEB 6 And you must observe them diligently, for that is your wisdom and your insight before the eyes of the people, who will hear all of these rules, and they will say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and discerning people.’ 7 For what great nation has for it a god near to it as Yahweh our God, whenever we call upon him? 8 And what other great nation has for it just rules and regulations just like this whole law that I am setting before you today?

Deu 26:5 LEB And you shall declare and you shall say before your God, ‘My ancestor was a wandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt, and there he dwelt as an alien few in number, and there he became a great nation, mighty and numerous.

After the Babylonian exile in 536 BC it is still acknowledged as coming to pass.

Neh 9:23 LEB You made their children numerous like the stars of the heavens and brought them to the land that you told their ancestors to enter in order to take possession.







Promise #2. I will give you much lands! Not just the promised land!

FULFILLED

Jos 1:3-4 LEB 3 Every place that the soles of your feet will tread, I have given it to you, as I promised to Moses. 4 From the wilderness and the Lebanon, up to the great river, the river Euphrates, all of the land of the Hittites, and up to the great sea in the west, will be your territory.

Jos 23:14-15 LEB 14 Look! I am about to die, and you know in all your hearts and souls that not one thing failed from all the good things that Yahweh your God promised concerning you; everything has been fulfilled; not one thing failed. 15 But just as all the good things came to you that Yahweh your God promised, so will Yahweh bring to you all the bad things until he has destroyed you from this good land that Yahweh your God has given to you.

Jos 24:28 LEB Then Joshua sent the people away to their inheritance.

Before the babylonian captivity in 586 BC, even jeremiah admits that the promise was fulfilled by his time, which was BEFORE nehemiah's time.



PROPHET JEREMIAH
Jer 11:5 LEB in order to keep the oath that I swore to your ancestors, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day.” ’ ” Then I answered and said, “Let it be so, O Yahweh.”

After the jews were released from babylon in 536BC, Nehemiah looks back at the promises and counts them as fulfilled exactly as God had promised them.



PROPHET NEHEMIAH
Neh 9:8 LEB You found his heart faithful before you and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite and the Girgashite—to give it to his seed. And you have kept your word because you are righteous.

So in addition to the promised land there were MANY lands possessed by Israel such as the Euphrates, and other ancient places. Take a look for yourself.



PSALMS
Psa 78:55 LEB And he drove out nations before them and allocated them for an inheritance by boundary line, and settled the tribes of Israel in their tents.

Psa 105:42-45 LEB 42 For he remembered his holy promise; he remembered Abraham his servant. 43 And so he brought out his people with joy, his chosen ones with rejoicing. 44 And he gave to them the lands of the nations, and they inherited the labor of the peoples, 45 so that they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. THE APOSTLE PAUL
Act 13:16-20 LEB 16 So Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand, he said, “Israelite men, and those who fear God, listen! 17 The God of this people Israel chose our fathers and exalted the people during their stay in the land of Egypt, and with uplifted arm he led them out of it. 18 And for a period of time of about forty years, he put up with them in the wilderness. 19 And after destroying seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave their land to his people as an inheritance. 20 This took about four hundred and fifty years. And after these things, he gave them judges until Samuel the prophet.

JOSHUA

KING DAVID

KING SOLOMON
1Ki 4:21 LEB Now Solomon was ruling over all the kingdoms from the River(That is, the Euphrates) to the land of the Philistines, and up to the border of Egypt, who were bringing tribute and were serving Solomon all the days of his life.

KING JEROBOAM

Promise #3. Your seed shall be as the stars of the heavens.

Gen 15:5 LEB And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward the heavens and count the stars if you are able to count them.” And he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”



Gen 22:17 LEB that I will certainly bless you and greatly multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven, and as the sand that is by the shore of the sea. And your offspring will take possession of the gate of his enemies.



FULFILLED



Deu 1:10 LEB Yahweh your God has multiplied you, and look; you are today as the stars of the heaven in number.

Deu 10:22 LEB With only seventy persons your ancestors went down to Egypt, but now Yahweh your God has made you as the stars of the heaven with respect to multitude.

The prophet Nehemiah acknowledges this was done long before his time.

Neh 9:23 LEB You made their children numerous like the stars of the heavens and brought them to the land that you told their ancestors to enter in order to take possession.


So, how can professing Hebrews be excited about a promise of land given to jews at the end of the age when God has already fulfilled all of his promises of giving that land in the old testament?

God has fulfilled his promise under the old covenant during the times of the old covenant. We are now under a new and better covenant and better promises.

What Does A Jew Get In Christ That A Gentile Does Not?

What Does A Jew/Hebrew/Israelite in Christ receive that a Gentile does not?... A simple question with a simple answer.... nothing... They all receive the same thing once 
in Christ.

Romans 9:4
They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises.

This is a common scripture used from professing Hebrews. But according to scripture, Christians participate in the same blessings, ministries and roles received from Christ.




CHRISTIANS
Adoption = Romans 8:15 and 23, Galatians 4:5,  Ephesians 1:5

Glory = 1 Peter 5:1, Romans 2:10, 2 Corinthians 4:17, 8:23, Ephesians 3:13,21 - 1 Thessalonians 2:12, 2 Timothy 2:10, Hebrews 2:10 

The Covenants = 2 Corinthians 3:6... Gentile Christians are ministers of the new covenant because they like the jews in Christ are also ministers of the new covenant. An equality at its clearest resounds in this passage alone.  

Giving of The Law = 1 Corinthians 9:21, Galatians 6:2 Christians receive the Law of Christ

The Worship = John 4:24 ->> Philippians 3:3!!!, Romans 12:1, 1 Peter 2:5

The Promises = 2 Corinthians 1:19-20, 2 Corinthians 7:1, HEBREWS 8:6!!!

Chosen = Colossians 3:12, 1 Thessalonians 1:4, James 2:5,

A Holy Nation = Matthew 21:23, 1 Peter 2:9

This post was intended to be short simply for you to more easily understand this most 
precious truth.

Are You Saved(New Covenant) and Cursed(Old covenant)?




Are you saved in the new covenant and still cursed from the old covenant according to scripture? The following is simply a raw sketch for you to decide for yourself. and I'm hoping you would come to conclude that you ARE NOT SAVED AND CURSED. In the end if you still believe you are cursed with the curses of Deuteronomy 28 then you will have to ask yourself a very simple question.

"Is the saving power of Christ powerful enough to save your soul from sin but not powerful enough to keep you from the curses of the old covenant even while under the new covenant in his blood?" We will see that Hebrews 9 answers that later on. For now, let us compare the covenants to put the curses in perspective.





Old Covenant
New Covenant
"And if you faithfully obey the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the LORD your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field.(Deuteronomy 28:1-3 ESV)

"But if you will not obey the voice of the LORD your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field.(Deuteronomy 28:15-16 ESV)
"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
(Matthew 5:10-12 ESV)




Jesus says even if you obey him you will still go through a hard time.. how can one tell the difference between a black who is suffering and being persecuted for Christ's sake and a black non messianic jew who is being cursed under the old covenant for breaking the commands of the old covenant?.. and God isn't even operating under the old covenant anymore, so they are suffering for other reasons. The following scriptures are thorough and valid on how God speaks about the old covenant and how the writer of the epistle to the Hebrews speaks about the old covenant and new covenant. Observe below.

Deuteronomy 28:45-46  45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: 46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

Hebrews 9:17-17  15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.[h] 16 For where a will is involved, the death of the one who made it must be established. 17 For a will takes effect only at death, since it is not in force as long as the one who made it is alive.

Luke 16:16    
16 The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone forces his way into it.

…. Did Jesus die? Yes. Therefore, the New Covenant HAS TAKEN EFFECT AND IS IN FORCE. Those who are in Christ are in the New Covenant and “Ministers of The New Covenant”(2 Corinthians 3). Therefore, the death of Christ has now redeemed you from the transgressions of breaking the Commandments and statutes of God committed under the First Covenant. The curses came by transgressing the commandments and statutes. Therefore, the New Covenant puts the curses of the Old Covenant
TO AN END.




YOU ARE NOT IN CHRIST AND CURSED…
JEWS WHO DO NOT ACCEPT JESUS AS THEIR MESSIAH AND STILL KEEP THE OLD COVENANT LAW OF MOSES IN PRACTICE ARE CURSED WITH THE CURSES THAT COVENANT COMES WITH. JEWS SUFFERED FROM CURSES BECAUSE THEY TRANSGRESS AND REMAIN UNDER THE OLD COVENANT.
(DEUTERONOMY 28:45-46)

CHRISTIANS SUFFER FROM PERSECUTION BECAUSE CHRIST SAID THEY WOULD DUE TO FOLLOWING AND SERVING HIM AND BECAUSE THE WORLD HATES CHRISTIANS AND JESUS SAID THE WORLD HATED HIM FIRST. THIS INCLUDES THE BLACK CHRISTIAN SLAVES WHO CLUNG TO JESUS AS THEIR SAVIOR DURING TIMES OF PERSECUTION, SUFFERING AND SLAVERY.

Questions Professing Hebrews Cannot Answer

The following are questions for professing Hebrews and Hebrew rooters. The best way to utilize these questions are to develop follow-up scriptures. No big introduction, just a good conversation starter BlogSpot. Enjoy!!!


Question One.

If the word FOREVER always meant eternal in every context of the bible, then would the following be a lie from God due to the new covenant and the destruction
of the second temple?


TEMPLE

“‘For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually'” (2 Chronicles 7:16).

FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD
And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
(Exodus 12:17)

LEVITES
Then David said, "No one but the Levites may carry the ark of God, because the LORD chose them to carry the ark of the LORD and to minister before him forever.“
(1 Chronicles 15:2)

SABBATH
Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever. (Exodus 31:16)


INCENSE, SHEWBREAD, BURNT OFFERINGS, SABBATHS, NEW MOONS, FEAST DAYS
Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.
(2 Chronicles 2:4)



Question Two.

How can the sabbath be reinstituted in the eschaton and the rebuilding of the temple with the penalty of death for sabbath breakers when revelation 21:3 and 4 states that when Christ sets up his kingdom "the tabernacle is with God and men" and "there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" and Isaiah 60 says there shall be no more violence heard in the land How shall there be a weekly sabbath when day and night division will no longer exist in Christ's kingdom in Isaiah 60?

For good measure, let's read the key passage

Exodus 20:10                                                                                                                    But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: (Exodus 31:15)--"For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death.“




Question Three.

MARRIAGE
Deu 24:5  When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.

Does this law of not being employed for a year in new marriages still apply today?
If not, why not?




Question Four.

If the Sabbath was kept before Moses, why is the Hebrew word for weekly Sabbath or phrase “The Sabbath” (ayth Shabawth) or “Holy Sabbath”(Kodesh Shabawth) found in the ten commandments never found in the book of Genesis?



Question Five.

If the Sabbath was for Adam, Noah, Abraham, and the gentiles, then why is the Sabbath a sign to remind the Jews of their exodus from Egypt? Exodus 16:23,29; 31:13-18. Were either Abraham, Adam, Noah, and gentiles ever slaves in Egypt?

Would not this law and its reason for being a sign be strange to Adam, Noah, Abraham,
and the gentiles?



Question six.

There are 3 people who willingly choose to do different things. One is a Jew who willingly chooses to keep all laws except for the Sabbath. The second Jew willingly chooses to keep all laws except for the law against stealing. The third person is a Christian who chooses to follow Jesus, and share his message through an active life of love to others, but he does not choose to keep the Sabbath, dietary laws, or feast days. My question to you is, if any of these individuals would Go to heaven, who would
go to heaven and why?



Question seven.

Why were the Patriarchs never instructed about the Sabbath, but were instructed regarding: offerings: Gen 4:3-4, Altars Gen 8:20, Priests: Gen 14:18, Tithes: Gen 14:20, and Circumcision: Gen 17:10. Why would God leave out the "all important" Weekly Sabbath command?



Question eight.

If you believe the way you must follow the example of Jesus is exhaustively in all things like keeping the Sabbath, then why do you not follow the example of Jesus exhaustively in circumcision, animal sacrifices and keeping the old covenant Passover which includes animal sacrifices? If You find this question strange, What about it is strange since Christians do not keep these things?



Question nine.

If Hebrews 4 teaches we are to keep the weekly Sabbath, then why does the text say we are to enter a rest that none of the Jews at the time of Joshua in the promised land never experienced in v 8?



Question ten.

Deuteronomy 19:16-18
16  Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked. 17  For the LORD your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn’t respect persons, nor takes reward. 18  He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner[stranger],
in giving him food and clothing.

Can you name one time that your ministry
or group has done this act to a non israelite?



Question eleven.

Follow up question
Matthew 25:36-40
37  “Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? 38  When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’ 40  “The King will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Is it your position that the people they served unaware were ESSENTIALLY only Israelites? If so, then is the old covenant commandment more loving of non israelites than eternal life with Jesus in Matthew 25?



Question twelve.

I will read through 11 scriptures, and then present my question.

1. Exo 23:2 KJ 2000 You shall not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shall you testify in a dispute to follow after a crowd to pervert judgment:

2. Exo 23:6 KJ 2000 You shall not pervert the justice of your poor in his dispute.

3. Lev 19:15 KJ 2000 You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: you shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.

4. Deu 16:19 KJ2000 You shall not pervert judgment; you shall not show partiality, neither take a bribe: for a bribe does blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

5. Deut 24:17 KJ 2000 You shall not pervert the justice due the stranger, nor the fatherless; nor take a widow's clothing as pledge:

6. Job 24:3 KJ 2000 They drive away the donkey of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.

Mal 3:5 NHEB I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the perjurers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and do not fear me,” says the LORD of hosts.

Deuteronomy 24:14-15 -  14 You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he be of your brothers, or of your foreigners who are in your land within your gates: 15  in his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down on it; for he is poor, and sets his heart on it: lest he cry against you to the LORD, and it be sin to you.

11 Deuteronomy 27:19  Cursed be he that perverts the justice due the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

SEEING THAT THE LAWS OF DEUTERONOMY WERE BEFORE THE SPLIT AND DIVORCE OF THE NORTHERN KINGDOM, IS IT POSSIBLE THAT YOU ARE CURSED AND REMAIN OUTSIDE OF THE PROMISED LAND FOR THE WAY YOU PREACH AGAINST, DISRESPECT, AND MISTREAT NON ISRAELITES? YES OR NO?



Question thirteen.

Genesis 23:4-7
Sarah died in Kiriath Arba (that is, Hebron), in the land of Canaan.  Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her. 3 Abraham rose up from before his dead, and spoke to the children of Heth, saying,  4 “I am a stranger and a foreigner living with you. Give me a possession of a burying-place with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.” 5  The children of Heth answered Abraham, saying to him, 6 “Hear us, my lord. You are a prince of God among us. Bury your dead in the best of our tombs. None of us will withhold from you his tomb to prevent you from burying your dead.” 7  Abraham rose up, and bowed himself to the people of the land,
even to the children of Heth.

Why did Abraham call himself a stranger in a Land God promised him and bowed himself to non Israelites despite the non israelites calling Abraham a prince of God?



Question fourteen.

Isaiah 49:6
And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved(lxx: dispersed) of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

If the northern kingdom are defined according to you as lost, scattered, dispersed Jews called gentiles etc., Then who are the gentiles in the third category?



Question fifteen.

Luke 2:27-32
27  And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the law,  28 Then he took him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, 29 Lord, now let your servant depart in peace, according to your word: 30 For my eyes have seen your salvation, 31  Which you have prepared before the face of all people; 32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.

Who are the gentiles in this passage if they are distinct from
"the people Israel"?



Question sixteen.

Isa 42:6 KJ 2000 I the LORD have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant to the people, for a light to the Gentiles;

Who are these gentiles in this passage if the
"covenant to the people" distinct from the gentiles?



Question seventeen.

1 Thessalonians 2:14-16

14 For you, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for you also have suffered the same things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:  15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always:
for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

Who are these gentiles that are being complained about since they are being differentiated from the Jewish non believers blocking them from the gospel of  Christian believers?
