Questions Professing Hebrews Cannot Answer

The following are questions for professing Hebrews and Hebrew rooters. The best way to utilize these questions are to develop follow-up scriptures. No big introduction, just a good conversation starter BlogSpot. Enjoy!!!

Question One.

If the word FOREVER always meant eternal in every context of the bible, then would the following be a lie from God due to the new covenant and the destruction
of the second temple?

TEMPLE

“‘For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually'” (2 Chronicles 7:16).

FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD
And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
(Exodus 12:17)

LEVITES
Then David said, "No one but the Levites may carry the ark of God, because the LORD chose them to carry the ark of the LORD and to minister before him forever.“
(1 Chronicles 15:2)

SABBATH
Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever. (Exodus 31:16)

INCENSE, SHEWBREAD, BURNT OFFERINGS, SABBATHS, NEW MOONS, FEAST DAYS
Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.
(2 Chronicles 2:4)

Question Two.

How can the sabbath be reinstituted in the eschaton and the rebuilding of the temple with the penalty of death for sabbath breakers when revelation 21:3 and 4 states that when Christ sets up his kingdom "the tabernacle is with God and men" and "there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" and Isaiah 60 says there shall be no more violence heard in the land How shall there be a weekly sabbath when day and night division will no longer exist in Christ's kingdom in Isaiah 60?

For good measure, let's read the key passage

Exodus 20:10                                                                                                                    But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: (Exodus 31:15)--"For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death.“

Question Three.

MARRIAGE
Deu 24:5  When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.

Does this law of not being employed for a year in new marriages still apply today?
If not, why not?

Question Four.

If the Sabbath was kept before Moses, why is the Hebrew word for weekly Sabbath or phrase “The Sabbath” (ayth Shabawth) or “Holy Sabbath”(Kodesh Shabawth) found in the ten commandments never found in the book of Genesis?

Question Five.

If the Sabbath was for Adam, Noah, Abraham, and the gentiles, then why is the Sabbath a sign to remind the Jews of their exodus from Egypt? Exodus 16:23,29; 31:13-18. Were either Abraham, Adam, Noah, and gentiles ever slaves in Egypt?

Would not this law and its reason for being a sign be strange to Adam, Noah, Abraham,
and the gentiles?

Question six.

There are 3 people who willingly choose to do different things. One is a Jew who willingly chooses to keep all laws except for the Sabbath. The second Jew willingly chooses to keep all laws except for the law against stealing. The third person is a Christian who chooses to follow Jesus, and share his message through an active life of love to others, but he does not choose to keep the Sabbath, dietary laws, or feast days. My question to you is, if any of these individuals would Go to heaven, who would
go to heaven and why?

Question seven.

Why were the Patriarchs never instructed about the Sabbath, but were instructed regarding: offerings: Gen 4:3-4, Altars Gen 8:20, Priests: Gen 14:18, Tithes: Gen 14:20, and Circumcision: Gen 17:10. Why would God leave out the "all important" Weekly Sabbath command?

Question eight.

If you believe the way you must follow the example of Jesus is exhaustively in all things like keeping the Sabbath, then why do you not follow the example of Jesus exhaustively in circumcision, animal sacrifices and keeping the old covenant Passover which includes animal sacrifices? If You find this question strange, What about it is strange since Christians do not keep these things?

Question nine.

If Hebrews 4 teaches we are to keep the weekly Sabbath, then why does the text say we are to enter a rest that none of the Jews at the time of Joshua in the promised land never experienced in v 8?

Question ten.

Deuteronomy 19:16-18
16  Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked. 17  For the LORD your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn’t respect persons, nor takes reward. 18  He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner[stranger],
in giving him food and clothing.

Can you name one time that your ministry
or group has done this act to a non israelite?

Question eleven.

Follow up question
Matthew 25:36-40
37  “Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? 38  When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’ 40  “The King will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Is it your position that the people they served unaware were ESSENTIALLY only Israelites? If so, then is the old covenant commandment more loving of non israelites than eternal life with Jesus in Matthew 25?

Question twelve.

I will read through 11 scriptures, and then present my question.

1. Exo 23:2 KJ 2000 You shall not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shall you testify in a dispute to follow after a crowd to pervert judgment:

2. Exo 23:6 KJ 2000 You shall not pervert the justice of your poor in his dispute.

3. Lev 19:15 KJ 2000 You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: you shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.

4. Deu 16:19 KJ2000 You shall not pervert judgment; you shall not show partiality, neither take a bribe: for a bribe does blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

5. Deut 24:17 KJ 2000 You shall not pervert the justice due the stranger, nor the fatherless; nor take a widow's clothing as pledge:

6. Job 24:3 KJ 2000 They drive away the donkey of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.

7. Psalm 94:6 KJ 2000 They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. perm_identity

8. Jer 7:6-7 KJ2000
If you oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even forevermore.

9. Mal 3:5 NHEB I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the perjurers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and do not fear me,” says the LORD of hosts.

10. Deuteronomy 24:14-15 -  14 You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he be of your brothers, or of your foreigners who are in your land within your gates: 15  in his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down on it; for he is poor, and sets his heart on it: lest he cry against you to the LORD, and it be sin to you.

11 Deuteronomy 27:19  Cursed be he that perverts the justice due the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

SEEING THAT THE LAWS OF DEUTERONOMY WERE BEFORE THE SPLIT AND DIVORCE OF THE NORTHERN KINGDOM, IS IT POSSIBLE THAT YOU ARE CURSED AND REMAIN OUTSIDE OF THE PROMISED LAND FOR THE WAY YOU PREACH AGAINST, DISRESPECT, AND MISTREAT NON ISRAELITES? YES OR NO?

Question thirteen.

Genesis 23:4-7
Sarah died in Kiriath Arba (that is, Hebron), in the land of Canaan.  Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her. 3 Abraham rose up from before his dead, and spoke to the children of Heth, saying,  4 “I am a stranger and a foreigner living with you. Give me a possession of a burying-place with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.” 5  The children of Heth answered Abraham, saying to him, 6 “Hear us, my lord. You are a prince of God among us. Bury your dead in the best of our tombs. None of us will withhold from you his tomb to prevent you from burying your dead.” 7  Abraham rose up, and bowed himself to the people of the land,
even to the children of Heth.

Why did Abraham call himself a stranger in a Land God promised him and bowed himself to non Israelites despite the non israelites calling Abraham a prince of God?

Question fourteen.

Isaiah 49:6
And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved(lxx: dispersed) of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

If the northern kingdom are defined according to you as lost, scattered, dispersed Jews called gentiles etc., Then who are the gentiles in the third category?

Question fifteen.

Luke 2:27-32
27  And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the law,  28 Then he took him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, 29 Lord, now let your servant depart in peace, according to your word: 30 For my eyes have seen your salvation, 31  Which you have prepared before the face of all people; 32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.

Who are the gentiles in this passage if they are distinct from
"the people Israel"?

Question sixteen.

Isa 42:6 KJ 2000 I the LORD have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant to the people, for a light to the Gentiles;

Who are these gentiles in this passage if the
"covenant to the people" distinct from the gentiles?

Question seventeen.

1 Thessalonians 2:14-16

14 For you, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for you also have suffered the same things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:  15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always:
for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

Who are these gentiles that are being complained about since they are being differentiated from the Jewish non believers blocking them from the gospel of  Christian believers?
