Abuse is not biblical - I.S.U.P.K. Abuse "precepts" refuted

Jesus once said that a man will be known by his fruits. This is true and I also
would say then a man will be known by his constant Pursuits. When people who
are caught up in religious cults begin doing things that are clearly unbiblical
it is a blind spot to them due to believing false doctrines to be true.

However, it is blatantly obvious in the eyes of so many others including their
spouses. So the question is how do people even come to the point of justifying
any form of spousal abuse from the Bible? Answer, ignorance... allow me to
demonstrate some examples. In the I. S. U. P. K. There is a famous story of a
woman who was made to eat dog dung by her abusive husband.
The backstory goes into greater detail but we will not focus on that.
The first thing that comes to mind for me automatically when hearing the story
was a passage in the prophetic writings of Ezekiel where God plainly told
Ezekiel to eat bread freshly baked with human dung. (Ezekiel 4:12)

God in fact told Ezekiel to do many odd and perhaps bizarre things.
The Lord had commanded Ezekiel to also sleep on his side for 6 months,
and I believe also the other side for another 6 months. So this is something
that God is telling one of his prophets to do but never have you seen a person
in the Bible do this simply on their own accord. Nor is it commanded as doctrine
or practice... Ever. The closest thay you get is when queen Esther prayed
mournfully to God by covering herself not in sackcloth and ashes as any
Jew would’ve normally done, but used sung instead. Yet God did not command
her to do such an act. Nor was she forced or chastised by any man to do such
a thing.

But when you are an unlearned and ungodly member in the cult of the
I. S. U. P. K. such a passage have no context. In fact none of their passages
that they quote from the Bible has a context at all in their mind. This means that
they can put whatever spin, narrative, or meaning into whatever passage
that they choose and turn to their spouse who also is ignorant of the word
of God and they begin to suffer abuse from the twisted and corrupted
interpretations and usage of the Bible in order to justify abusing their spouses
in whatever way suits their purposes.

This is the number one reason why so many people suffer from abuse.
It is not necessarily because of their spouse abusing them but more urgently
the underpinning ignorance of the scriptures for both the abuser and the abused. This is the main reason why members of such a cult desire to keep their followers ignorant by remaining "woke". Because the ignorance is the very fuel that drives the engine of all their abuse and manipulation in which their followers continue to suffer as victims. Now think to yourself, that is just one story and example of an abuse of scripture and a spouse. Look at how the two go together. If pastors do not begin to equip their flock by teaching them the true narratives and stories and meanings found in the Bible then it will only further open the endless amount of doors through which all wolves come to pick away at their flocks who are drawn away into what seems to be the truth, only later to tragically discover it to be nothing more than a

dangerous cult.

Another example comes from the I. U. I. C. where women are instructed
to call their husbands lord. This idea once again comes from an abuse
of scripture. In one of Peter's Epistles he recalls the story of Abraham and Sarah. Sarah calls her husband lord.

(1 Peter 3:6)

Peter points this out however he does not go on at any length to explain why.
Never has he instructed any man or husband in his epistle to be called lord.
It is a twisting and invention of the intention of Peter's letter to the churches
by the I. U. I. C. to teach their women to call their husbands Lord.
Another huge issue with this methodology of usage is that we find in one
of the three Epistles of John where he starts out his letter by acknowledging
a woman who is a leader of the church that is in her house by calling her "kuria."

"Kuria" is the female version of the Greek word Lord. So if John is presently
calling her and acknowledging her as a lord then this places greater emphasis
than the usage that we found Peter in only recalling from the Old Testament
of Sarah calling Abraham Lord. So should all members of the I.U. I. C.
call their wives lord simply because John called a woman in the New Testament
Lord?

Kuria also occurs twice in the New Testament, both times in John’s second letter
which is addressed to a kuria (2 John 1:1, 5). More precisely, the letter
is addressed “to the chosen (or elect) lady and to her children”
(eklektē kuria kai tois teknois autēs.) Some people who take the word “children”
literally believe that this letter was written to a mother with believing children
(2 John 1, 4, 13). What these people have failed to take into account is that,
in each of his three letters, John frequently, and typically, uses the word
“children” in reference to Christian disciples—“spiritual children”.

The kuria of 2 John is a “spiritual mother” of a group of Christian disciples.

Common Christians in the churches simply acknowledge others as brother
or sister just as Jesus had spoken to his disciples when he said,
"who is my mother and who is my brother and who is my sister but the ones
who do my father's will?". So again, we can clearly see how knowing the
scriptures for yourself keeps an army of demonic abuse at bay.
The word of God is always the first ground of defense against any
Injustice done to you and if you do not know it, if you do not understand it,
if your leaders are not teaching you the simple narrative and truth of the
word of God then you will run the risk of being swept away into cults who
abused their followers by turning them into victims. And notice, I'm only
covering the relational aspect and leaving out the reality of financial abuse
and many other crucial things... So you can imagine what Cults will do to the scriptures in order to manipulate you into giving to them all of your money when Jesus has shown endless examples of people giving all of their money and belongings to the poor. Especially out of repentance.

So what exactly does the Bible say about how a husband is to treat his wife
and how a wife is to treat her husband?

The following is by no means exhaustive but immediately addresses
all things related to spousal abuse.

Colossians 3:19

Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

You have no right to be or remain bitter against your wife. For this what
God’s love requires of you in how you are not to be with your spouse.
Acting on your bitterness only intensifies your sin of being bitter against
her in the first place.

Ephesians 5:25

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church,
and gave himself for her;

Jesus never made his wife the church eat dung, or choked her,
or did any such thing but instead gave his life for her. Jesus suffered
unjustly at the hands of sinful men. So how could you make your wife
suffer at your own hands when it is you who are supposed to be sacrificing
and suffering on her behalf and wellbeing? Abusing your wife is not at all any reflection of christ. Nor how he would treat his bride.

Ephesians 5:28-29

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife
loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth
and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

If you beat your wife or hold hatred of your wife in your heart then you
are not nourishing her body at all and you are not cherishing her in your
heart at all.

Ephesians 5:33

Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself;
and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

The phrase “so love” is also found in john 3:16 “For God so loved the world”...
How you treat your spouse is a reflection of how much or how little you love
yourself according to the scriptures.

1 Peter 3:7

Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge,
giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being
heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

If you do not honour your wife who is an heir with you then your prayers
will be hindered.
